Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.  Call (239)992-0101.  Features:  A solid collection of books, reference service, youth department and computers with Internet access and word processing capabilities.

Cape Coral-Lee County Library, 921 S.W. 39th Terrace, Cape Coral, Florida - Map It! 

Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.  Call (932)542-3953.  Features:  The primary library for Cape Coral, as well as one of the three regional libraries serving Lee County, it house's the system's humanities collection, including the 34-volume Dictionary of Art.  The facility has a word processor and typewriter for public use, microform magazine archives and printers and a youth services program.

Captiva Memorial County Library, 11560 Chapin Lane, Captiva, Florida

Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday; noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday.  Call (932)472-2133  Features:  Access to local information and nature resources.  The facility offers Internet access and word processing and programming capabilities.  Visitor library cards are available to nonresidents for $5 and are valid for three months.

Dunbar Jupiter Hammon County Library, 3095 Blount Street, Fort Myers, Florida - Map It!

Open noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Call (932)334-3602.  Features:  The largest African-American book collection in Southwest Florida.  The facility offers homework assistance volunteers for students.

East County Regional County Library, 881 Gunnery Road, Lehigh Acres, Florida - Map It!

Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.  Call (932)461-7300.  Features:  More than 50 computers and typewriters and complete reference services for all ages.  It also houses the system's processing center. which is the heart of library operations.  Here books are received, processed, catalogued and sent out to the other branches.

Fort Myers - Lee County Library, 2050 Central Ave., Fort Myers, Florida - Map It!

Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.  Call (932)479-4635.  Features:  The main library for Lee County, it houses the systems primary collection of legal, business and financial information.  The system's main genealogy collection also is at this facility.  It is home to the Electronic Resource Center, a room designed for modern resources such as the Internet, CD-ROMs and Dynix.  The library features the largest archive of periodical information, as well as a full run of The News-Press and New York Times.

North Fort Myers County Library, 2001 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, Florida - Map It!

Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.  Call (239)997-0320.  Features:  A full book collection, reference service and a youth services department.  Patrons can borrow audio cassettes, videos and magazines, as well as books.

South County Regional Library, 21100 Three Oaks Parkway, Estero

Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday;  9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.  Call (932)390-3200.  Features:  The 32,600-square-foot facility houses the system's only computer training room.  The library provides extensive holdings in its specialty, science and technology.  It offers complete reference services, a large youth services department, Internet access, reference periodicals and study rooms.

Talking Books County Library, 13240 N. Cleveland Ave., #5&6, North Fort Myers, Florida - Map It!

Open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.  Call (932)995-2665.  Features:  Free audio services for children and adults with vision impairments or physical disabilities.  Recorded books and equipment are available for adults and children who need to hear their reading because of a temporary or permanent disability.

Open 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.  Call (239)489-9220.  Features:  Has computer terminals available for Internet access.  Lee County residents who are 18 years and over can get a library card by presenting a local driver's license, voter's registration card or property tax receipt.

Florida Gulf Coast University Library, 10501 FGCU Blvd., south Fort Myers, Florida - Map It!

Open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday;  9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.  Call (239)590-7610.  Features:  Has a lab of computers with Internet access.  Adults age 18 and older may register for a card by presenting a valid Florida's driver's license or ID, or a photo ID and one of the following:  Florida property taxes, Florida voter's registration card or Florida utility bill.  Library cards are issued to children with demonstrated research need that cannot be met by their school or local library.

Open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday;  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday;  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.  Call (239)463-9691.  Features:  A conference room, copy and fax service and a ClearView magnifier.  The machine projects flat objects with small type onto a television monitor for easier reading.
